Introduction:
This site houses the collective work of ENG 340 students from the fall of 2010. In this survey of American Literature, these particular English Education majors' primary task was to identify important recurrent concerns in Edgar Allan Poe's fiction and poetry, locate significant scholars who take up these problems, and summarize these scholars' critical "conversation" around these issues

After completing traditional "paper" essays the students transformed their texts into hypertext critical reviews. Along with exploring the graphic revisions possible in these electronic documents, the authors built a web of connections between their work on this site and other valuable Poe sites across the internet.

If you have suggestions for other links that might embed into their individual pages, please contact them directly via the e-mail links supplied on their pages. They wil be able to update them through May15, 2010. After that they will become static documents on our course web site.

Many thanks to Prof. Deloy Cole of GC's Digital Media program for graciously providing the server space to host this project for our Engish majors.
